One World Biotech is a contract research organization that provides comprehensive early stage R&D support to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and government laboratories engaged in discovery-phase therapeutic and diagnostic product development.  We specialize in designing and completing complex, specialized projects that involve custom gene cloning, gene expression and protein expression services. We also serve clients in the chemical, cosmetic and veterinary industries.

The company, incorporated in 2006, operates in a 3500 square foot laboratory facility 25 miles north of the City of Philadelphia within the Mid Atlantic and North East pharmaceutical and biotech industry hubs. Our labs are well-equipped with modern analytical and process equipment. Our dedicated scientific staff has special skills in problem solving and project management.

Management

Malla Padidam, Ph.D., President
Malla enjoys working at the bench, applying his expertise in gene regulation, expression, cloning, and molecular biology. Prior to founding One World Biotech, Malla worked at academic institutions and in the biotechnology industry for 25 years after earning his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Saskatchewan. Previously he worked at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, The Scripps Research Institute, Rohm and Haas Company, and RheoGene Inc.

Lorraine Keller, Ph.D., VP, Business Development
Lorraine has a passion for translating research ideas into products and is always ready to help clients succeed with their product development. She is a molecular biologist with 25 years of experience in laboratory science and business management. She obtained her Ph.D. from Cornell University and previously worked at Rohm and Haas Company and RheoGene Inc. She is a cofounder of Immunotope Inc. and MBF Therapeutics Inc.

Vinod Sardana, Ph.D., Director, Protein Production
Vinod’s favorite activity is protein purification method development. She has 30 years of experience in protein purification. She has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Central Drug Research Institute and worked at Rockefeller University and Merck & Company.
